The Republican who helped the majority party gain historic margins in the Senate is planning to make her mark in the areas of criminal justice and economic development.

Michele Reynolds, a Madison Township trustee, won the 3rd Senate District against incumbent Sen. Tina Maharath (D-Canal Winchester) in a race that was heavily targeted by the GOP.

The district leaned slightly in favor of Sen. Maharath, but Ms. Reynolds took 52.67% of the vote, according to final but unofficial results. (See Gongwer Ohio Report, November 8, 2022)
